mode and later in installed on top of it in GUI mode; I chose to
install the X pkgs but nevertheless i am facing problem while
trying to set all the following xhost + xhost +localhost DISPLAY=localhost:0.0 ; export DISPLAY DISPLAY=ipaddress:0.0 ; export DISPLAY
What are you actually trying to do? Fiddling with xhost and $DISPLAY is a rather insecure way of running remote clients, compared with using ssh with X forwarding.
