Hello everybody,

I was wondering if there is a way to roll back yum packages. I was reading about up2date which
has a repackage and rollback option which will seem to work for me however, I would like to continue
using yum.

Also,

I am fairly new to security on Linux. What are the main pros/cons of yum vs. up2date. Are they that much different.

Thank you all in advance.

yum and up2date are both front-ends for rpm. It is rpm that implements the repackage and rollback facilities. As far as I know, yum doesn't provide a hook for doing rollbacks etc., so if you're happy with up2date, you may as well stick with it.
