I'd also do a cold re-boot before before you add this as a test. I've had my box, with the same graphics processor as you have, just get cranky early on in the xorg-x11 life cycle and a cold reboot, now that you have the latest revisions, may do the trick for you.

Good advice. The i810 driver for the X versions that I run on the computer are fine. The need to reboot the computer for changes to take effect are needed. I am unclear as to if the xorg-x11 version supplied in FC3 ever incorporated the improvements or if they are only in development versions or in the testing repository for FC3 that is not used by default.

Now off to the ati and subdriver radeon problem for the laptop. The desktop is fine now!

Thanks!

Q: Why is Microsoft's Product Support a failure?
A: Because Microsoft needs a Support Group instead.
