Hrmm, I just noticed that ATrpms has gone up to alsa version 1.0.8, and does include a (soft) link from aplay to arecord now... I had some troubles recording at first, but I believe they might have been due to me not quite figuring out the right alsa-mixer settings (un-muting the capture device)... Cheers Steffen.
