I've tried to follow the instructions on various lists to get gdbm support included in php in my recent install of Fedora Core 3 but without success. Has anyone done this successfully and if so, could you provide some hints/instructions. There's quite a load of applications which I have that make use of gdbm and my move to FC3 is stalled on this item. If I take the existing rpm source, satisfy all the prerequisites and try to build a new RPM after modifying the spec file to include "enable-dba" and "with-gdbm", then make fails claiming there's no makefile and no make target. Can't figure out why that makefile doesn't get created properly . . . Any help appreciated . . .
