Hi, 

If you can back up what is neseccery on you XP hard disk, and boot XP CD
an delete simply the second disk (the Unkown one ) for XP install BOOT.

No if you want to have unistall everything, do The Backup for important
DATA, and remove every thing on XP boot disk, to do that just delete
partitions and press the reset/power botton, now you can go ahead to
install  Linux box server .
