Re: Info on Compact Flash Card Readers?

I am using a Palm with SD/MMC-Card. Initially I bought a cheap USB 1.1
6in1 card reader (ID 0dda:0001 Integrated Circuit Solution, Inc.) that
would only write my 256MB SD-Cards when booted with maxcpus=1 and
corrupt files copied from the card. It would not write my 1GB SD-Card at
all so I tried a software card reader emulation and now bought a working
19in1 USB 2.0 card reader.

Fedora works well with removable USB storage. It automatically writes
a /media/usbdisk entry to /etc/fstab if none exists. I am not completely
satisfied though because only root can partition and format removable
storage and one cannot tell what is going to be mounted as /dev/usbdisk
without looking at /etc/fstab.
