You upgraded... from what? Did your earlier distro. use XFree86 rather

If so, visit s3graphics.com and see if your chipset is supported by
X.org. If not, you're out of luck (as am I, on my laptop).

I upgraded from FC1. The chipset is Savage-IX/MV.

FC1 used XFree86. FC2/3 uses X.org. According to FC3's /usr/X11R6/lib/drivers directory, there is a savage_drv.o file. Try "system-config-display", click on the "Hardware" tab, then "Configure" in the "Video Card" area. Scroll down the list and find the "S3 Savage/IX" entry, highlight it and click "OK". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, Senior Systems Engineer rstevens@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - - VitalStream, Inc. http://www.vitalstream.com - - - - Jimmie crack corn and I don't care...what kind of lousy attitude - - is THAT to have, huh? -- Dennis Miller - ----------------------------------------------------------------------
