One solution - I _know_ it works with lilo - run lilo on your / partition instead of mbr, and then use GAG (stands from graphical bootloader in Spanish) boot floppy.
You can have the machine default to windows on the MBR, and default to whatever when booting off of the GAG boot floppy.
