Yes, if you don't see it, it probably means the system isn't really open, and censorship is actively being practiced - and censorship usually preceeds and accompanies other evils. Hiding honest developer comments to support someone else's agenda should make everyone involved question what else is being hidden and whose interests are really controlling the project.
