After installing x86_64 version of kernel-2.6.10-1.766_FC3, I can no longer start vmware. I've rebuilt the modules and they load correctly, but no luck running the app. I've had no problems with the i686 version of the 766 kernel and also have no problem with x86_64 version of kernel-2.6.10-1.760_FC3.
Any ideas?

What version of VMWare are you running? I have been running VMWare 5 beta, RC1 and RC2 since they came out on my AMD-64 (different kernel versions, also the 2.6.10-1.766_FC3 x86-64) without any major problems.
I assume you did the vmware-config.pl as root??
