Subject: Fedora changed by Knoppix?

I'm running FC3.

Just to experiment, I tried the latest CD of Knoppix, booting and
running from a CD.

However, now when I boot FC3 normally, the network host name is changed
from localhost.localdomain to knoppix.twu.edu, and the system doesn't
recognize that host, suggesting that I add knoppix.twu.edu to the
/etc/hosts file. I don't want to do that.

How did Knoppix change my network host name , and how do I change it
back to localhost.localdomain?

I've gone into Network Configuration, and found the localhost there, and
I save. Then it shows me as localhost. However when I reboot, I'm back
to knoppix.---.---

Suggestions?

Jack
