No required information! Who is this twit? :) Background information, as I forgot to post it originally. I also see when kpilot is displayed the following;- ====================================== Version: KPilot 4.4.6 Version: pilot-link 0.11.8 Version: KDE 3.3.2-1.0.3.kde Version: Qt 3.3.3 15:14:55 Starting the KPilot daemon ... 15:14:55 Daemon status is `not running' 15:14:57 Trying to open device /dev/ttyS1... 15:14:57 Device link ready. 15:17:57 Cannot accept Pilot (Connection timed out) ======================================= The permissions for /dev/ttyS1 are rw-rw-rw- and haven't changed. In fact, none of the hardware has changed and the computer hadn't been shut down at all. Has anyone any ideas that will get it back up and running please?
