Setting eth0 KO during boot

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I just have ADSL with a router D-LINK500G (192.168.1.1). It works
perfectly if I have a fixed IP adress (192.168.1.100). By te way, my
router is acting as a DHCP server.

Well now if via the GUI I say for eth0 : IP adress automatically
obtain...", and I reboot, FC2 , I have the error during boot :

Determining IP info for eth0 failed.

My router is still on so I can imagine that it is ready to give me an
dynamic IP ...And then, I cannot access even my router via ping :
network unreachable.

I install the dhcpd process, thinking that I missed a RPM. No change.

if you have an explanation, or link, be kind to provide it as looking in
the archives gave me no exact answer to my problem.

More technical information maybe useful below (with fixed IP adress) :
