DHCP server issues

All:

We had been sporadically running into issues whereby our clients were not releasing leases when we expected them to, and were stubbornly refusing to accept the new IP offered by the DHCP server (in most cases, the IP was actively leased by a Windows client, resulting in IP conflicts.

Believing this to be dhclient-related, we took an FC3 client and downgraded dhclient to an FC2 (then FC1) version, with no success. We then upgraded the DHCP server running on a FC1 install to the most recent release available for FC3, and still saw the same issue.

Finally, we built dhcp-3.0.1-16.src.rpm from fedora/core/development/SRPMS, installed it to our FC1 server and this resolved our issues.

Dunno if anyone has experienced the same issues with DHCP, but I just wanted to submit something anecdotal...
