there are some old Aureal drivers out on SourceForge. I've seen other
cards besides mine having an issue with the new kernel though. I'm
wondering if anyone knows if there will be a fix for these issues as
they are affecting many or should I try and fix it using the old Aureal
drivers? Thanks.

Get the latest ALSA drivers and packages either look for rpms or
build them yourself, FC3's alsa version (and the 2.6.10 kernel) have
an old version of ALSA (unless the new kernel has an update ALSA
patch applied, which might be the case), in which situation, you'd
still require the rest of the packages... Try to check the
documentaton on http://alsa.opensrc.org
This issue is known. One workabout is to mute the second headphone
(using alsamixer). Or you can recompile kernel, which helped me as
well :)
If you install the latest ALSA drivers, you don't need to re-build the
kernel, since you'd be effectively wiping out the old drivers, but
that's just me... ;)
