Yes it did, thanks.

This means that the "auto" stuff in /etc/fstab doesn't work properly
then? My fstab entry that was created on install reads:

/dev/hda   /media/cdrecorder  auto \
pamconsole,fscontext:system_u:object_r:removable_t,ro,\
exec,noauto,managed    0 0
