I am not sure what your problem with video is, but I think your blanket
statement that LILO is used by most users is wrong.
I switched to GRUB as soon as it was available and I love it, as I
suspect most users do.
If you want LILO, why not install it and use it. It is in the FC distro
and can easily be installed.
