My dual boot system:

By burning FC3-i386-disc1.iso onto a cd-rw, from <http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/iso/>, a *minimal* install of linux is on hda3.
I didn't see an "Installation method" dialog...?
Take the file boot.iso from the images directory of your CD-RW and burn that to your CD-RW instead. Boot from that and you should get the installation method prompt.
