Earlier IBMs work nearly as well as newer IBMs with Linux (though more
slowly :) ). The keyboards are first-rate (except the 760 series).  These
days, I'm partial to the Thinkpad X-series laptops, because I think the
point of having a laptop is lost if it's difficult to carry.
