Subject: ACPI "wake-up" config file

I have tried the "echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep" command on at least a dozen
notebook/desktops, but I was never able to wake the system up after
having put them to sleep.

Can anyone show me a good acpi config example so I don't have to treat
the intended "suspend-to-ram" command as a "poweroff" alias? Thanks.

Amy:

As an aside, I run IBM Thinkpads for my primary system and I have to use the Fn key to wake up my system after putting it to sleep. Of course, I have the ibm-acpi patches installed. Maybe you have to hit the appropriate key on the keyboard to wake up the system and this may be configureable through the BIOS.
Also, I have to unload USB before putting the system to sleep. When I get home I will send you my sleep.conf and sleep.sh files
