I had the same problem(s) and solved it all perfectly and easily with
Partition Magic. The normal price in the UK is £49.95 but I got a
perfectly legal disk off Amazon.co.uk for £19.95. Original new disk,
no box, no docs, but it works a treat. (no, I'm not the one selling
them...)
