I know for a fact this monitor supports at least 1152x864 because that's
the resolution I run it with a Win machine.

I've attempted to change the vsync/hsync settings to no avail. Here are
the monitor/video settings:

Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "Monitor0"
        VendorName "Monitor Vendor"
        ModelName "Dell D1028L"
        DisplaySize 300 230
        HorizSync 31.0 - 70.0
        VertRefresh 50.0 - 120.0
        Option "dpms"
EndSection

Section "Device"

        Driver "vesa"
        VendorName
	"Videocard vendor"
        BoardName "VESA driver (generic)"
EndSection

I'll attempt to also attach the entire config.
