OK, the plot thickens. I stopped and started the daemon before I wrote. ~ This did not fix the problem. After getting your message, I thought I would revisit that idea, and nscd does seem to be the problem, now how to fix...
If I close nscd, then do the getent, everything works perfect. If I start it back up, the incorrect value are once again returned. How can I clear its cache, and get it to re-query everything?
