Can't start KDE session FC3

I've recently installed FC3 on a laptop and a dual Xeon box with the
same installation DVD.

I can start Gnome or KDE just fine on the Xeon box, however on the
laptop, I get the following when I try to start a KDE session on the
laptop:

Could not start kdeinit. Please check your installation.

Short of reinstalling on the laptop, is there a simple fix?
