I don't know of any media players that support gnome-vfs. beep-media- player and totem would be obvious candidates but they don't seem to support it currently. It seems rather silly to me that so few programs bother to use gnome- vfs. Maybe there's a good reason that I've not heard. Almost nothing seems to support gnome-vfs completely. Even gedit opens gnome-vfs files read-only. That's the one program I'd expect to bend over backward to support gnome-vfs. Oh well, I love the nautilus "connect to server" feature and use SSH to transfer files between every machine I have an account on. I don't even bother with NFS or SMB any more. I'd be thrilled if every major GNOME application supported gnome-vfs. -- David Norris http://www.webaugur.com/dave/ ICQ - 412039
