Gnome terminal?

Yes, I've seen that one.

Setting a different value for TERM seems to fix it: try
TERM=linux mutt
TERM=gnome mutt
TERM=vt100 mutt
and see which one works for you.

The bugzilla is
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=139294
which has been around practically since FC3 was released. And it's still
marked as NEW.
