autorun, gnome-cd, fc3 (and ogg/grip thrown in)

Could someone please point me to a explanation on how to stop Gnome-CD from starting every time I put an audio CD in the drive? When I put a CD in, it's almost always to Grip it, and that program is already running.

BTW, do someone know of a program or procedure that will allow me to determine a correct 'recording' level using ogg and grip? On recordings of very dynamic music, the resulting .ogg has a small, but immensely irritating klipping sound in the most powerful parts. (Example from the top of my head, though probably not useful: Nils Petter Molvaer - Solid Ether)

I could start using lame instead of ogg, if that makes a difference(?)

Thanks in advance!
