Try with (as root)
echo -n "Y" > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/old_scheme_first echo -n "Y" > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/use_both_schemes
which should revert to the "old" way. After these changes my pens all mount with no problem, including those which ran into the same issue you had.

Basically, keep trying. It'll probably eventually take.
Or reboot with the drive connected.

Hi,
After the update to kernel 2.6.10-1.741_FC3 my usb-pen does not get mounted. With kernels 2.6.9 after plugging in the usb-pen an icon appeared on the desktop, and the device was available.
Other posters mentioned this before.
This is the output of:
# tail -f /var/log/messages plugging in the usb-pen.

Does anyone know of a way to solve this? Thanks, Peter.
