Only in 2D AFAIK ... the Radions 7x00, 8x00, 9000 and 9200 are the only
cards that support 3D acceleration using the open source DRI drivers.  

I've had the 7200, 7500 and 9000 using the DRI drivers, but I've
switched to a nVidia card after having troubles with the ATI drivers
playing games (DRI and ATI binary).
