I've been using vnc+gdm to login to my FC3 server for years now. However, a problem has developed in the past week or two (maybe yet another 2.6.10 problem?):
Each morning, when I first try to connect to the FC3 server, the Windows VNC client fails with "server closed connection unexpectedly". It keeps doing this until I ssh to the server and run "killall gdm-binary". Then I can use VNC all day without problems. The next morning, the problem occurs again. The client is shut down over night, but the server runs constantly.
I can't find any helpful log messages on the server.
Any suggestions?
