Edit /etc/sysconfig/desktop and change DESKTOP="GNOME" to DESKTOP="KDE" to change the default session from Gnome to KDE.
Edit /etc/sysconfig/desktop and add DISPLAYMANAGER="KDE" to set kdm as the default login manager.
