Some people are trying to port PCTEL HSP Micromodem
56K 2.4 kernel to 2.6.X Kernel but have been
unsuccesful. Whenever they successfully port the
code, someone on the list will email back. Check the
archives of linmodems.org if they have made any
progress if you have the time. It is hard to make the
winmodems in Linux. Have you run the scanModem tool
from linmodems.org? There could be a very minute
chance that slmodem-2.9.X drivers work with this
modem. Do
# su - root
# Yourpsswd
# lspci
and send it back to the list, as suggested by
Chadley.
