kernel 2.6.10 boot problem

Hi everybody,
I downloaded the new 2.6.10 kernel and tried to compile it. I used the old
.config file from my 2.6.9-681_FC3 working kernel, and added few things
about my Centrino processor.

Everything went smoothly on compiling, but when I rebooted I found that
the laptop stops working when the boot process goes through the local disk
mounting stage.

The error is:
Code:

/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit : line 307 : 2945 segmentation fault insmod $module
>/dev/null 2>&1
checking root filesystem
Remounting root filesystem in read write mode

When it arrives here everything stops!

Does anybody can help me?

Thank you very much in advance,
MC
