I've been having rather bad luck with the recent new updates to the Fedora 2 kernel, downloaded automatically via up2date. Running a very standard Dell Dimension 2400 off-the-shelf, with a Dell wireless keyboard/mouse. 2.6.9-1.6_FC2 - is the last release that works as I remember it! Releases up to 2.6.9-1.11_FC2 hang the system during boot. The 2.6.9-1.11_FC2 does boot, but kudzu fails to recognize the wireless keyboard/mouse and deletes it from the hardware configuration. Oddly, the keyboard works anyway, but not the mouse. 2.6.10-1.8_FC2 and 2.6.10-1.9_FC2 do recognize the wireless keyboard/mouse. They also claim to recognize the sound card, which is an Intel 82801DB (ICH4) AC'97 Audio Controller (Module: snd-intel8x0). However, no sounds are actually heard. Many thanks! David
