FC2 usb memory key workaround

Well I managed to find a workaround to my problems of
usb memory keys no longer appearing in the Gnome computer
folder after updating to the latest kernel and initscripts.
If I manually edit /etc/fstab and add...

/dev/sdd1 /mnt/lexar vfat noauto,rw,user 0 0

...which is the scsi device the memory key is assigned when I insert it,
I find that there is a lexar icon in the Computer folder after I log in and
out again. I can select this icon and use the Mount Volume menu item to
mount it. I would be curious to know if anyone has managed to keep FC2
working with usb keys after upgrading to the latest kernel.
                      Jack
