Stupid applet isn't working.

I was going to ask you where you got the kernel from because 
I hadn't seen any updates to this kernel. I ran up2date 
even though the applet did not indicate any updates were 
available, and there it is. Once I have it installed, I'll
check the USB, I have 40GB mini-external USB/Firewire drive 
I use to shuttle data and store all my music.
