boot failure with new FC3 724 kernel

Up2date recently installed kernel-2.6.9-1.724_FC3. When I tried to boot
the newly installed 724 kernel, the boot failed with the message:

    EXT3-fs: Unrecognized mount option "mand"

I did have the "mand" option listed in fstab, but after removing it, the
724 kernel still fails to boot, with the same message about the
unrecognized mount option "mand". Where else could the "mand" option be
specified?

Why doesn't the 681 kernel complain about the "mand" option?
