(if it were to work) - the process would be:

1. make sure NetworkManager & NetworkManager-gnome packages are
   installed
rpm -q NetworkManager NetworkManager-gnome

2. (as root) Start the service NetworkManager
chkconfig NetworkManager on
service NetworkManager start

3. (as normal user) login into gnome - and start NetworkManagerInfo - which
does the 'userland' control/wireless-settings.

Also check bugzilla - there are quiet a few issues with NetworkManager
- (so don't be suprised if it doesn't work)
