hi I have sorted it out it was due to the rhgb parameter in the boot up when you get to grub, select the linux you are having problem with, then press E will allow you to edit it and then choose the one with the word "kernel" and press E again, and delete the word rhgb. press enter and then b to boot. that's how i got mine to work. hope that works for others who have this problem too. thanks Kelvin -- This is an email sent via the webforum on http://fcp.homelinux.org
