I am having problems using kickstart with disk section uncommented. If I remember correctly, the system acts as if it doesn't know what LVM is at that stage. Has anyone had success with doing this. The file below works as it. If I uncomment the 2nd "# Dell Poweredge 1750" Statement. then the install crashes. # Kickstart file install cdrom lang en_US.UTF-8 langsupport --default=en_US.UTF-8 en_US.UTF-8 keyboard us # Antec Server #xconfig --card "NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX (generic)" --videoram 131072 -- hsync 30-80 --vsync 56-85 --resolution 1280x1024 --depth 24 -- startxonboot --defaultdesktop gnome #network --device eth0 --bootproto static --ip 192.168.10.2 --netmask 255.255.255.0 --gateway 192.168.10.1 --nameserver 192.168.10.2 -- hostname hawaii.efficax.net # Dell Poweredge 1750 xconfig --card "ATI Mach64" --videoram 8128 --hsync 30-80 --vsync 56-85 --resolution 1280x1024 --depth 24 --startxonboot --defaultdesktop gnome network --device eth0 --bootproto static --ip 192.168.10.200 --netmask 255.255.255.0 --gateway 192.168.10.1 --nameserver 192.168.10.1 -- hostname hawaii.efficax.net rootpw --iscrypted $1$KAFYLYP1$3Mat9AjswytmHpM5bzo91. firewall --enabled selinux --disabled authconfig --enableshadow --enablemd5 timezone --utc America/Central bootloader --location=mbr --append="rhgb quiet" # Antec Server #zerombr yes #clearpart --all --drives=sda,sdb #part /boot --fstype "ext3" --size=100 --ondisk=sda #part pv.12 --size=0 --grow --ondisk=sdb #part pv.11 --size=0 --grow --ondisk=sda #volgroup VolGroup00 pv.11 pv.12 #logvol swap --fstype swap --name=LogVol01 --vgname=VolGroup00 -- size=1000 --grow --maxsize=2000 #logvol /cdr --fstype ext3 --name=LogVol02 --vgname=VolGroup00 -- size=704 #logvol /cdrw --fstype ext3 --name=LogVol03 --vgname=VolGroup00 -- size=672 #logvol /dvd --fstype ext3 --name=LogVol04 --vgname=VolGroup00 -- size=4704 #logvol /data --fstype ext3 --name=LogVol05 --vgname=VolGroup00 -- size=443680 #logvol / --fstype ext3 --name=LogVol00 --vgname=VolGroup00 --size=25024 # Dell Poweredge 1750 #zerombr yes #clearpart --all --drives=sda #part /boot --fstype "ext3" --size=100 --ondisk=sda #part pv.6 --size=0 --grow --ondisk=sda #volgroup VolGroup00 pv.6 #logvol swap --fstype swap --name=LogVol01 --vgname=VolGroup00 -- size=1000 --grow --maxsize=2000 #logvol / --fstype ext3 --name=LogVol00 --vgname=VolGroup00 --size=1024 --grow reboot %packages @ editors @ gnome-software-development @ x-software-development @ gnome-desktop @ base-x @ development-tools @ graphical-internet @ sound-and-video @ office @ graphics e2fsprogs grub lvm2 kernel-smp
