I've installed some PCs with i810 - sometimes it just
works, sometimes it just locks :) In all cases text mode
install worked fine - type 'linux nofb nodma text'. Read
the tips provided in [F2], [F3]... screens, I'm typing by
heart so check yourself.

yum is fun :) just make sure you have Internet connection
and run 'yum update' as root ('su -' first). You can also use
up2date, but I don't use it so just try. Please always keep
your systems updated, security is more important!
About X/xorg and i810: update and just type this:
rpm -q --changelog xorg-x11 | less
and search for 'i810' (press '/', then i810, then Enter)

I can not guarantee that this update addresses exactly your problem,
look at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=132267, but
most likely it will :)
When reporting problems, please include your software version(s)
so the person willing to help can really help (rpm -q xorg-x11).
