Sharon,

>From your /etc/fstab, the only thing I can see that might be a problem
is that your CD-ROM's are on a second IDE controller ( yes it might be
integrated to the board ).  Try moving your CD-ROM's to the second IDE
channel instead.

hda = Primary Master
hdb = Primary Slave

hdc = Secondary Master
hdd = Secondary Slave

All the rest are on a second IDE controller and might be handled
differently.
