When the system is booting, at "starting NFS4 idmapd" I get a big red [
FAILED ] and something to the effect of "FATAL: module sunrpc not
found." I'm not sure what the module does, but when I boot the rpm
kernel and do lsmod, I see that sunrpc is loaded. Where do I find this
in the xconfig menu and what else do I need to enable?
If you do not use RPC based programs and do not need portmapper support,
you can ignore the sunrpc error message. However, if you need to access
NFS drives, you will need sunrpc support and must enable NFS or build it
as a module when compiling your kernel.
