Hi all,
while rebooting after an hard shutdown (a power supply problem) having the autofsck enabled on boot, I receive this error:
" fsck.ext3: Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short
read while trying to open /dev/hda2
Could this be a zero-length partition? "

Could anyone tell me the best procedure to fix this? I'm a bit scared

The usual cause of that message is attempting to run fsck on the extended partition. You should run fsck on logical partitions within the extended partition, not on the extended partition itself.
