Activating WLAN

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello out there,

I followed the description on this site -
http://www.linuxelectrons.com/article.php/20040507104718960 - in order
to install the driver for my WLAN card 'Broadcom 802.11g'. It think the
installation was ok. But as soon as I try to activate the card, I am
getting:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Error for wireless request "Set Bit Rate" (8B20) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.

Determining IP information for wlan0... failed; no link present. Check
cable?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

What may be wrong?
