yam: how are ISO's used?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I'm using yam - for which many thanks -
to download Fedora-3 updates on my desktop
by a nightly cron job.
I then run "yum update" on each of the machines
on my little home LAN.
This works perfectly.

But I notice that yam has "mount -o loop" my Fedora-3 ISO's,
==============================================
[tim@alfred disc1]$ ls /var/www/yam/fc3-i386/
disc1  disc2  disc3  disc4  iso
==============================================
and I'm wondering if I should be using these
as the core repository on the various machines?
If so, should I just list the 4 directories in fedora.repo?

Any enlightenment gratefully received.
