I'm running FC3, kernel 2.6.9-1.667, the stock kernel, and have tried to burn using k3b, xcdroast, nautilus, and cdrecord as both normal user and as root.If I understand, you can burn as root but not as user.
I know that this isn't a hardware issue, because if I boot to FC2 (this is a dual boot FC3/FC3 box) I can burn CD's as a normal user. I've been running this same hardware since RH8 and until now, have always been able to burn CD's.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Is your system FC3 fully updated, i.e. with latest updates? Some issue must lay there.
