The list archive is full with annotations about kernel 2.6.8 and
cdrecord burning as non-root. Use the FC3 kernel.

I tried compiling a vanilla 2.6.9 kernel and cdrecord still does not work. Probably there is a patch that the FC3 kernel that solves this problem. By any chance would you know what is this patch?
