Hello out there,

now I started up2date and updated my kernel to newer version. After
restarting my PC I now have the choice between 2 version of kernel to
boot with. How can I remove it and select the newer version by default
(I just want to see the newer one)?

If I were you, I'd leave the last know-to-work kernel in the boot list for a while (so basically always have the current, and the previous version).

To remove specific version of kernel, do "rpm -e kernel-version" replacing the "version" with kernel version you want to remove (or do "rpm -q kernel" and than cut&paste string from there).

To make the new kernel default, edit /boot/grub/grub.conf and change "default" line to point to new kernel (they are numbered starting with 0).
